Koh Tao is reknowed for its marine wildlife making it perfect for diving. More PADI open water courses are carried out on Koh Tao than anywhere else in Thailand and this is mainly due to the diverse marine environment around the island. In 2010 the resort built a PADI dive centre and all manner of dives can be carried out in Koh Tao, from beginners taking there PADI Open Water Courses, to Dive Master Courses, night diving, Nitrox, and wreck diving.
The flight from Bangkok to Koh Samui is only an hour and you get to pass through Koh Samui airport which is one of the most unique and picturesque airports in the world.
Upon arrival at Koh Samui, you can arrange a transfer to Koh Tao through the airport information desk. The island can only be reached by boat as there is no airport on Koh Tao.
We recommend that you take either the Lomprayah Catamaran, which leave twice daily for Koh Tao. Both operators offer environmentally friendly, efficient services.
It is also worth noting that these two operators leave from different locations on Koh Samui, so be sure to check your ticket and get a road transfer from the airport to the appropriate ferry terminal.
